Frog Hall

I climbed the devils staircase
On journey to kiln of lyme
Cherry eyed in Froghall
Behind the blackest lion
We followed River Churnett
Past ancient Consall View
Where beasts of fire and iron
Return for the sightings new.

Froghall is a village situated approximately ten miles to the east of Stoke-on-Trent and two miles north of Cheadle in Staffordshire, England. Froghall sits in the Churnet Valley, A beautiful and relatively unspoilt part of Staffordshire. There are some excellent and challenging walks in the area, many of which encompass the area's historic development by the coal, ironstone, copper and limestone industries.

The Devils staircase, The Black Lion, Consall View, Cherry eye bridg and river Churnett are all places and features of the Froghall Wharf and local area. The beasts of fire and iron referes to the local steam engines and world famous Churnett valley railway.

Thank you for contacting Little Boy Lost

Poetry from Stoke On Trent. The various verses within this blog explore my changing reality and mood swings. Verses that meander around domestic violence, self harm and mania, then return to enjoy happier thoughts and emotions from my childhood and the local area and its fantastic history and heritage. This is truly subversive and thought provoking literature from the heart of England that will live with you forever.
